history

welcome to my history page. i like history, its very interesting. great stuff has been happening since the beginning of time, and exciting stuff will probably continue until the end of time. and i like all that stuff shoved between the two too. below is a timeline that i have created. on the timeline are events that i found interesting/important in the history of the universe. the map links to sites that i've found on the net that i think represent the certain area of time. below the timeline is a brief description of the sites and why i chose them.

the beginning of time -site: the y-files; i chose the y-files site for the beginning or time because it has some great papers at the site. it brings science and translation into account when explaining the Bible and creationism.

prehistoric times -site: the prehistoric post; an online magazine type site with lots of information on the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Also, many interactive things to do at this site.

the renaissance -site: early renaissance; learn about how the renaissance started in florence, italy and soon spread through out the known world.

world war I -site: the history channel; this is a link to the history channel's site. it has a brief overview of WWI a.k.a. the great war. of course, you can get more in depth from this site.

world war II -site: the history channel; once again, the history channel's site has a great overview of the war. just to give you a rough idea of what happened.

modern day -site: cnn; if you need to know anything about the current day, cnn is the place to look. a great news site with thousands of stories. this site will keep you informed!

the future -site: n/a; what will the future hold? who knows... you just have to wait and see.

(5/23/99- i've just realized after making this section that i have forgotten one very important event in history which has shaped our modern life... the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. i can't believe i forgot that, but i hope i've made amends by writing this footnote.)
